Ambassador offers several payout methods to reward commissions that your ambassadors have earned. Payout methods include PayPal, Dwolla or Simple Fulfillments via Ambassador.
What is the difference between PayPal and Dwolla?
Setting up PayPal allows you to easily send cash to your ambassador’s PayPal account via PayPal MassPay. Dwolla, on the other hand, allows you to send cash via a bank-to-bank transfer.
What are Simple Fulfillments?
Simple Fulfillments allow Ambassador to send the commission owed to your ambassadors on your behalf via our PayPal or Dwolla account.
How do I configure my preferred method of payment?
Simple Fulfillments can be enabled here at the click of a button. For help setting up PayPal or Dwolla as your preferred method of payment, follow the step-by-step instructions in these support articles:
What fees are associated with each of these payment methods?
PayPal MassPay charges a 2% fee (up to $1) per transaction. There are no fees associated with using Dwolla.
If you utilize Simple Fulfillments, there is a 5% fee to have Ambassador manage payouts. This is because we immediately charge your credit card (we pay 2-3%) and then pay via PayPal or other means (we pay an additional 1-2%).
What if I have customers that are outside of the United States?
If you have ambassadors located in different countries, we recommend utilizing PayPal so your ambassador can convert their reward to the currency of their choice. Dwolla does not support international payouts.
Please note, to issue payments to customers outside of the US, you will need to create a PayPal REST API.
